About Us

Linda is our main Photographer, who also does all photo editing and designing. She started her photography journey when she used her allowance to purchase her first film camera at the age of 12, and instantly those around her knew that she had “the eye” from early on. Growing up with her father in the US air force, Linda and her family moved around a lot, and she found herself fascinated and drawn to the way she could capture the beauty of the world with her Kodak Instamatic camera.

As she moved through the chapters in her life, she brought photography and her other creative abilities with her. From capturing her children to friends and family, to adapting to the changing times and switching from film to digital, to eventually starting her own business. Over the years, Linda has refined her craft of creating portraiture and timeless imagery. Each with artfully crafted lighting scenes, curated background selections, the unique touch of her photographic eye, and the skills that she has developed through more than 30 years of professional photographic experience.

She now has the pleasure of sharing her gift and capturing the beauty of the moment for others, and we’re so excited to connect so she may do the same for you.

Linda’s creative expressions greatly influence and are made manifest in her second youngest daughter, Maiya. Being the daughter of entrepreneurs and being exposed to art on a daily basis, Maiya expressed herself through several mediums of art. Most notably, she developed her skills as a flute performer and pursued her photographic skills with her mother assisting in photographing her first wedding at age 11.

Maiya’s creative pursuits and desire to help small creative businesses have led her to pursue marketing, advertising, design, branding photography, and entrepreneurship. She has helped several small businesses develop omnichannel marketing campaigns to grow their businesses, and has helped develop back-end systems and processes to ensure businesses owners can do what they know and love and less of what they don’t.

Currently, Maiya lives in central Florida and assists with Linda Hoard Photography’s marketing and advertising.
